Age groups:
Starts - 6, 7, 8
Rookies - 8, 9, 10
JV - 10, 11
Varsity - 12, 13, 14
Football Cheer Team:
Each registered cheerleader must cheer and support the Delta Patriots Football teams.
All participants must compete in the NYFL inner cheer competitions held in October and November and are mandatory to participate in our cheer program.
Starts and Rookies will only compete in 2 inner NYFL competitions.
Competition Team:
Competition is optional and will require try-outs. Try-outs will begin mid-August. Each participant will learn a cheer and dance.
To qualify for tryout you must:
Be a JV or Varsity member
Purchase additional uniform pieces
Attend all inner NYFL league competition
Attend all football games and functions
Compete in one or more required outside competitions.
Be in good standing with the Delta Patriots organization.
All fees paid up to date
Will attend Nationals in February 2009
Uniform pieces provided by the Delta Patriots:
Vest, Skirt, briefs, camp clothes
(Vest and Skirt to be returned to the Delta Patriots at the end of the season.)
Uniform pieces that need to be purchased by participant:
Shoes, Socks
Competition additional pieces required to be purchased:
Pom Poms, Bodyliner, Competition bow
Optional uniform pieces that can be purchased as merchandise:
Duffle bags, Warm ups
socks, shoes
Practice days:
Season begins July 14 and will begin with 5 days a week practice days for one month. After one month practice days will go down to 3 days a week. Additionaly practices may be called depending upon necessity.
